I am reading from Manuel Compatable with the 2013 (S9, or F9000) OR 2014 (HU 6900) or higher Your TV is new enough to already have the 2015 model motherboard witch is in the evoulution kit So no u don't need it and can't use it. Your TV has everything except quantum dot. Not a bad deal though u have 1000 nit HDR as well as future proof of Dolby vision u are set.
