- Answer Mine doesn't but they are very easy to close. you can alway test them out at the store for the particular model to match your washer and dryer

- Answer Regrettably, as of right now, Samsung only produces 15" laundry pedestals. However the actual height of the washer/dryer units can be adjusted by the pegs at the bottom of the unit, so this may still fit into your space. I would say measure the unit from the bottom of the actual unit and not from the floor and add the pedestal height. The unit should sit flush on top of the pedestal which would hopefully cut an inch from the entire setup.

- Answer It is not recommended that more then one unit be stacked on any one given pedestal at a time. The pedestals are only rated to carry one appliance at once.

QuestionDrip Pan Clearance QuestionWe are putting the washer on top of the pedestal, which will be on top of a builder installed drip pan. Will the legs on the pedestal adjust high enough to clear the lip of the drip pan so that we can open the drawer? If so, how much will this affect the stability of the washer (shaking) and will this cause any noise?

- Answer if you are able to still get the washer and dryer stable and level there shouldnt be too much shaking. If you have the washer with the vibration control i dont think you will have a problem.

- Answer Unless you cut the top of the pedestal, I don't think this will be possible. I also wouldn't suggest modifying the pedestal in any way, since that may jeopardize the stability of the entire unit.
