Can you set a temperature limit and get an alert on your phone? I’m primarily looking to remotely monitor temperature to avoid frozen pipes but also have use for the water sensing function. null

Hello! You can absolutely create a temperature notification within the SmartThings App using the Water Leak Sensor in a custom automation. You select the temperature threshold, as well as the message that is sent if the threshold is hit. Yes, you can monitor temperatures with it. I get alerted on my phone if it drops below 40 degrees.

Not sure about a temp alert, but you can see the temperature at the device at any time.

I believe this sensor only detects water. You would need to attach a Samsung SmartThings Multipurpose Sensor for the temperature feature. I found it easy to connect multiple sensors for specific rules.

It just depends on the program you attach to your system, many programs like (if this than that) can set limits, but also you must think it through (, the idea)
