“I notice when I check the status on this device from the Smarthings app it says "battery at 86%". Question is, How do you recharge it? Or when its gets to 0%, do you just have to buy a new one?”

You can buy replaceable batteries for this unit. You can see the battery status in Smartthings.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is a replaceable battery inside. The bottom slides off. It can be a little tricky getting the cover to slide off. It't not a standard battery but I know you can purchase them from Amazon. Do some Googling and you'll find them.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’m pretty sure you can open the sensor up and replace the battery. When you first get the sensor you have to pull a plastic tab out to allow the battery to connect. You’d just gently pull the case apart to expose the battery and replace it.
