Yes it turns off when phone is fully charged. The pad should then turn to green.

Yes it does automatically turn off. When changing the light is blue, when finished it turns green.

It has a light built into the unit that turns blue when charging and green when fully charged. The charging cycle turns off when the light goes green and doesn't come turn back on again unless the battery level drops down a few points; like from 100 to 98%
