“Will the swa-8500s rear speakers pair with the hw-q60r? The manuals says select 2018 models...and the salesman said they pair but I am having a hard time getting it to work.”

If you have the 8500 and it won't pair then you may need the swa 9000. I made a similar mistake. I got the swa 8000 for my soundbar only to find out its not compatible. I had to go to samsungs website to figure it out, but I also found the correct model I needed there and was able to swap it for the correct one.
