Jlynn, you can utilize the Rear Speaker Kit in a different room; however, the Rear Kits are not standalone speakers and will need to be connected to a compatible Samsung soundbar to receive sound. The Rear Kits will not produce stereo audio as they only provide rear channel audio. ^Gina
