How do I know that my XP can use type A flash drive? null

This works on my laptop which has xp

I use this on my XP without any problem.

If you have an available usb port that is 2.0, then it should work. Once you insert the thumb/flash drive your system should recognize it and prompt you on what you want to do with it. Some newer computers will recognize a flash drive that is 2.0 or 3.0 in same usb hub.
