• A:Answer I used it on 4 Mac OS (MacBook Air from 2014, Mac Mini M1, MacBook Air M1, and Mac Pro 2009) computers to transfer files. I didn’t have to install any drivers nor softwares. It was a plug and play experience. On the older Mac hardware I had to use the included USB-C to USB-A cable and on the new hardware the included USB-C to USB-C cable.

The only caveat is that while it comes pre-installed with links to macOS security software to set up password and encryption, there is NO iOS security software. So, if you plan to use on both macOS and iOS devices, it could mean going without the security features or enabling and re-enabling in macOS each time you use this SSD in iOS.
