Hi, please be informed that if your Apple Mac Pro has an internal 2.5" SATA slot, then you can connect this SSD Drive in it. In order to know if your Mac Pro has an internal 2.5" SATA slot or not, it would be best to contact Apple Customer Support as they would have all the technical specifications for the Mac Pro.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not certain if Mac Tower 2008 is SATA compatible, check the specs by performing a Google search for the hard drive specs. Try www.everymac.com. Looks like you can use this 512 GB drive. A word of caution if this drive is going to replace the internal HD for Mac OSX, stay with the 320 GB or 512GB. I have learned the 1TB internal drives are not compatible with older Macs because the older Macs automatically create an unusual partition, creating an OS conflict upon installation of new Mac OS operating system from Apple's website. This may be abstract in explanation, but stick with 320 or 512 for internal. You may use a 1TB or more for an external hard drive if placed in a compatible hard drive chassis with "fire wire" 400 or 800 connection.
