If your LG G5 is compatible with the USB 2.0/3.0 mini and/or the USB 2.0 micro connector, you should be able to use it with your phone. The drive does not require any special app to transfer data. Simply look for an app called 'My Folders" on your phone. If you have the app, click on it and look for a folder titled "External Storage" - That will be the drive/folder you will copy or cut&paste music/video/pics/data/etc to. Just be aware that you will not be able to view or access any data in the external storage folder unless you have the drive connected to your phone or pc.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use it with my LG G4 and a file manager app.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It doesn't work with a type-C connector. If that is what you have, you will need to carry an adapter or find a different device. For it work, all you have to do is plug it into your phone and your android phone will tell notify you of a new storage device and guide you on next steps.
