This product is a standard 7mm height, 2.5 inch SATA drive. Anywhere a 2.5 inch HDD with SATA connector is used, this drive will replace it. There is no setup other than to clone the HDD onto the SSD. You can use a SATA-to-USB adapter to plug it into the existing computer and clone the contents of the HDD on to the SSD, through the USB port. ONce it is cloned, you remove the back cover and swap the drives. You will need cloning software on the computer. There are open source clone utilities available. I used Paragon Hard Disk Manager (bought online) and it worked flawlessly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't see why not. I put one in an L655 laptop, it made an amazing difference in boot time and overall performance. My 5 year old laptop is faster now than it ever was.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Absolutely! This drive can go anywhere a mechanical hard drive can go...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes all SSD's can installed on laptops or desktops just be sure to purchase the apricorn software at bestbuy to clone your existing system unless your building a new computer which then you'll need to buy a new product key.

Though most will install without a hitch, I had an ASUS based desktop on which I was installing a retail license of Windows 10. The OS would not install because it & the motherboard was incompatible with the SSD model. I first tried a 120gb Kingston HyperX, then a SanDisk 500GB. I bought another Kingston HyperX (256GB) all failed to allow the OS to install until I realized ASUS had published a WINDOWS 10 READY SSD list and driver updates. I finally bought a Samsung EVO 256GB PRO that worked. So if your transferring a Win 10 system, better check the specs first. BTW, I used the other drives I had purchased to upgrade a Win 7 desktop of a friend, and I updated an HP laptop with Win Vista to Win 10 and a new SSD. Both with no problems. I slaved the 500GB as a backup drive on my own upgrade.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It can be installed easily. If you are a bit timid about opening the lid of your laptop, the Geek Squad will install it for a modest sum.
