I should be able take over 800 pics, check your Nikon camera settings

Such as, what kind of camera (not brand) were you using; point and shoot or DSLR? If it was DSLR do you know what format you were shooting in? (If I'm basically speaking a different language to you now, just stop right here because this shouldn't have happened) Basically space is space. So there could've been a file from a computer on it already occupying space you THOUGHT you had, anything else is out of my area of knowledge. Hope this helps!
