A:AnswerI do commercial framing and I would not mount anything larger than a 42" TV to steel studs unless they are heavy gauge suds. I doubt the studs are. Framers could have put a backer between the studs for max support.
Hope this helps.
A:AnswerYou will need a metal stud mounting kit along with this mount for a successful installation. The parts needed for meatal stud install does not come with this mount. Check out the Sanus SSMK1 metal studs mounting kit!

A:AnswerYes, this mount should be compatible with your TV. This mount can support your TV's 400x400mm VESA pattern and your TV is under the mount's 150lbs weight limit.

A:AnswerUnfortunately this mount will not work with a 850x500mm VESA pattern. This mount can only support up to a 600x400mm VESA pattern.

A:AnswerThis was great since the connection to your studs is not set to just one width it has adjustable width setting. This was really easy to install, just find your studs figure your height and bolt it in. NOTE the bolts are best if screwed in with a socket since they are set inside of the rails. FYI I put small patches of felt on the back so I could put it against the wall and move it around to find the right spot without scratching a newly painted wall.
