A:AnswerJust make sure bracket that mounts onto TV lines up with holes before you open the hole thing. I believe any TV newer than like 2009 is ok.
If the holes line up on back of tv with the x bracket then you're good to go.
A:AnswerBased upon the product specs I would say no. Even if the weight is under the limit, the larger TV is exceeding the dimensions specified. I would get the next size up to cover the 42" TV.
