• 16” on center is 14 1/2” between studs. This will fill a the width and depth of a 2x4 framed wall.

• The outside of the box measures 14 3/8 x 17". The flange with the 2 panels measures 15 7/8" x 18 1/2". Either this box will need custom shims to fit on 16" on-center studs or framing will need to be done for this box. Otherwise, you are only going to get the installation screws on a single stud. If you load this box with heavy things, I can see those plastic tabs sheering right off.
