When my car is off it is still drawing power. I am using my usb port in my car though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it can stay plugged in and it only draws power if your car DC outlet is designed to allow a power draw when the engine is off. I have 2 DC outlets in my vehicle and only one does this ( i plug it into the one that does not) The wire is relatively easy to hide, but I had a spare short length usb micro cable and ended up using this instead of the stock one that comes with it.

A normal car usually draws about that amount so if your car will normally have a dead battery after 3 months or 4 months then with the charger plugged in the time to dead battery will be half that.
