The SCRIBE DUO will only work with Over the Air TV. It may also work with something called "clear QAM" cable, which is the kind that doesn't require a cable box. If you needed a cable box to access cable, you won't be able to use this to access cable content. For that you'd need an HDHomeRun PRIME. For the SCRIBE DUO, all you need is an antenna to get totally free Over the Air TV.
