• Yes, like a charm. Use the included CD to copy your old hard drive to your new larger hard drive.

• As long as your Dell XPS 430 supports a SATA 3Gb/s drive then you should be fine using this drive. Although most Desktop computers currently will support this drive, it would be best to verify with Dell first before purchasing the drive.

• My answer is Yes! compatible they are. Also if your PC system is more than 5 years old, I'd stop at 1TB cause of Large Size Capacity some computer BIOS have issues others don't. But you'll find 1TB to be all you need unless You do Alot of Downloading, use tons of Programs/Apps and store Movies on Hard Drives.
