• One Dell specification page indicates the hard drive which comes with your laptop is 2.5-inches. If so, this drive should fit. If you mean compatibility with the operating system, there should not be any issues.

• I don't see any reason why not. As long as you have a USB port it should work just fine. It acts like any external drive once you plug in the USB.
