• I installed this 2TB on a Toshiba laptop. No formatting was needed. It installed everything and runs applications fast. It was almost intuitive.

• I installed mine on a older MacBook Pro. When I set it up I used my original Mac disks to install the IOS. I ran verify disk and repair disk. I then erased the disk and let the Mac set it up for use. I just named the volume SSD
