laptop and desk top uses different sizes in the size of the drive! Desk tops fit into a 3 1/2 " slot. LAptop is much more slimmer. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Do you mean besides this being way too big to physically fit in a laptop? Desktop drives are 3.5" wide while laptops are 2.5" wide. Desktop drive are much thicker too. It can only work if it is placed in an external case connected to the laptop via USB. Windows does not like to run from a USB drive though.
