Installation was simple enough, pretty much plug and play. SATA cables not included if you are adding an additional hard drive, and they can probably be purchased at Best Buy. The 4 drive mounting screws are not included, if this is an additional drive for your system. If the drives slide in and lock into a drive rack, be sure to take one of the original mounting screws from an existing drive with you when trying to by 4 additional screws. You may need to talk to someone from the Geek Squad to match the screw from the old drive.

Could be because I'm a "geek" but I like Seagate drives. If I buy pre built computer and it has a different make in it, I will buy a Seagate and clone the one it came with. They seem quieter, faster and more reliable than anything else I've used over the years.

I really like this drive. It's fast and quiet and was easy to install. I needed a lot more storage and this gives me plenty of extra space. Used the utility softward to set it up as my boot drive without having to reinstall Windows 7 and all my programs and files. Seagate hard drives have always been dependable and I hope this lasts just as long as previous drives.

I have not yet had any problems with Seagate hard drives. Bought this 2TB hard drive for more storage space and it works great. It is very quiet when running and hardly noticable when accessing and writting to.

Replaced a dead drive in a Dell XPS Studio. The drive is very quiet. The speed is decent. Easy to install and configure. Simply works.

I bought this drive to replace 2 older drives and increase my overall storage space. I wanted a fast internal drive. USB drives are SLOW at transferring data and unreliable (frequently dropping off-line). This drive is a 7200 RPM drive (faster spinning than most drives, except SSD's) and faster at data transfer than external drives. Installation was easy, since my PC had power lines to spare, and a place for the drive. All I needed to buy was a SATA cable to connect it to one of the ports on my motherboard.

Picked this HD to upgrade my 5 year old computer. Added a 120 Gb SSD and maxed out memory. This kept me going another 4 years. Now I have bought a scream machine. Decided it would be easiest to image from old to new and just install new HD as a clone. What is better than matching my workhorse hard drive. My new computer has exactly what is in the old computer, and I can phase-in using my new computer; No gaps, no data loss, and no I don't knows!

Bought this to be the extension memory with the case for our PS 4. Very simple to install...my 17 year old son installed it with no problems and loved it. Great value!!

Works just as expected. Using as an additional drive for my Mac Pro. Excellent product. Much faster than the standard drive that came in a 2012 Mac Pro. Double the speed and twice the storage for only 100 bucks.

My old hard drive died, losing me years of photos and videos. I had a bad experience with seagate about 8 years ago, but reviews recently indicated that the quality was much better these last couple of years. I went ahead and picked this 2tb drive for it's price alone. I don't plan on doing heavy video editing with it, but I DO record video on it and it keeps up fine. It's used mostly for storage of video files and photo files. Installed in a snap (WITHOUT the included bloated softare that windows doesn't need) and was partitioned and formatted in minutes. GREAT PRICE for a LOT of storage space.

Excellent price and performance for my use in a RAID 5 storage unit. Quiet which is a plus. I have 6 of them in the RAID unit and they also don't seem to produce too much heat.

The other reviews we read did not lie! Seagate continues to produce solid drives and at fair prices. This was bought to replace my husbands hard drive on his HP desktop and he managed to do the whole job himself. We are happy with the performance of the drive and the ease of installation.

The drive is fast, quiet and reliable. I use this drive everyday and it has worked with no issues. I have this in a external enclosure very close to where I work. Because it is so quiet you cannot even tell it is on. I would highly recommend this drive and will most likely buy another.

This was the perfect replacement for my crashed 1tb. Great price. Installed in minutes and back up and running in an hour. Has worked flawlessly since.

I initially thought I grabbed a 3TB but it was stocked in the wrong place or the only other Seagate there. I prefer the 3TB since it's more space for later but I prefer Seagate other everything else. It works just as good as the 3TB I purchased with it and made a great extra drive for my roommate.
