Q: QuestionThis works with PS4I want to buy a ps4 but i want to change its hd
Asked by AttoCastro.
- A:Answer No, you need a 2.5" "laptop" HDD to work in the PS4. There is also a limit on the thickness of the drive so that it will fit properly in the PS4. I would recommend checking the Playstation website as they do describe exactly what type of HDD will work in the PS4. Hope this helps.

Q: QuestionPlugs match computer cablesWill the position of the data and power plugs on the hard drive match the connectors of the cables on the DELL E520?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer YES! According to the spec from Dell on the E520: http://support.dell.com/support/systemsinfo/document.aspx?~file=/systems/dime520/en/sm_en/specs.htm The E520 has 4 serial ATA connectors available and two internally accessible SATA drive bays. This drive will fit in the bays, and the connectors will work with it, unless you already have added additional drive past the case capacity. Additionally, the E520 supports RAID 1 mirroring, so you could even use this drive as a hot fail-over, if you had two of them. I hope this helps.

Q: QuestionIs this really a 5 year warranty?Other sites list this drive as having a 1 year warranty, for much higher price. Is this really a 5 year warranty?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes, these have 5 year warranties. Any Seagate internal hard drive sent to the retailer since June 1 have a much reduced warranty. If you value a 5 year warranty you should buy from Best Buy's current stock. Read the box as soon as you get it. The warranty is printed there and a warranty card in in the manual.

Q: QuestionIs this the same as a ST2000DM001 harddrive?
Asked by Renee.
- A:Answer It very well could be but,the only way to see is to open the casing and look. I would not recommend it if it's still under factory warranty though. I had an external WD My Passport 500GB but the SATA to USB board in it fried. The drive was okay and behold, when I opened it, it was the same exact WD model as a SATA WD 500GB Internal drive I had. It is very possible that other companies could do this too.

Q: Questionwhat type of warranty comes with this drive?
Asked by mgdelmarva.
- A:Answer Mine came with a 3-year limited warranty, but you can ensure your purchase if you feel more comfortable if something would go wrong. WD drives, especially newer ones are pretty dependable. I have a, WD MY Book 1.5T drive which I still use and older than the passport model. The new passport drives are about 1/5th The size of the old bulky externals.

Q: QuestionIn regard to "Seagate - 2tb Internal Serial Ata Hard Drive For Desktops - Multi", what does Multi mean?
Asked by GeorgeHilman.
- A:Answer It's a strange color description from the specs page. This is an internal drive so it is in fact multi-colored, but ideally it will not be seen, so who knows why the color description is in the product title.

Q: QuestionDoes this fit the Xbox one?
Asked by Cary.
- A:Answer This would only be useable with an Xbox One via an external USB connection, such as the one I have attached, this will not fit inside the Xbox unit. The external enclosure and Seagate 3.5" drive become a little silly when you can get the green Xbox branded USB powered 2.5" drive for $100 each. The best option is a non-Xbox branded external USB powered 2.5" drive, as you save the extra charge for silly green plastic and an Xbox logo and get the same drive. I've put the links in this answer. I stick with Seagate drives, as they have been the most reliable for me and my customers by far, Western Digital and especially Toshiba drives have embarrassed me with crazy failure rates, so even if there is a slight difference in price, I always recommend the Seagate option. An external solid state drive (SSD) is a waste of money as the use case of the Xbox and the limits of the bandwidth of USB 3.0 would hardly justify the additional cost for a cost conscious buyer. As a last bit of advice, move as much of your data as you can to the external drive (including games you play frequently), as even a USB 3.0 external drive is faster in original Xbox One consoles than the internal drive, I'm not sure if they fixed the oversight in the Xbox One S consoles, but I can tell you from my empirical testing that games load faster from the external drive than the internal drive on the original black Xbox One. Hope this helps.
