YES! According to the spec from Dell on the E520: http://support.dell.com/support/systemsinfo/document.aspx?~file=/systems/dime520/en/sm_en/specs.htm The E520 has 4 serial ATA connectors available and two internally accessible SATA drive bays. This drive will fit in the bays, and the connectors will work with it, unless you already have added additional drive past the case capacity. Additionally, the E520 supports RAID 1 mirroring, so you could even use this drive as a hot fail-over, if you had two of them. I hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it will. All SATA drives connectors are standard in size, shape and placement. Regulations assure this.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe those positions are standard. I have never had a problem replacing drives in Dell computers
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe it is a standard SATA drive, so unless the Dell machine has a proprietary connector, it should work fine. Most computer manufacturers adhere to standard interfaces (plugs) in order to keep costs down in making their devices.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They should. SATA is standardized.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes, the dell 520 has a plastic cage that transfers to the new drive, and the sata and power cables are standard. it literally plugs right in. no tools needed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, The Dell E520 comes with a 250gb SATA hard drive, so the 2TB Seagate drive will be a direct replacement. Being a SATA version 3 versus a version 2 does not matter since they are backward compatible and a mechanical hard drive cannot even saturate a SATA 2 3gb/s transfer speed. Since the drive does not exceed 2TB Windows XP will format it as an MBR drive utilizing the entire space.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yeh, you should be ok.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Considering the age of your system, it would make more sense to buy a brand new computer. You can get a new system for around $300 and up. Will have a nice size hard drive and up to date software as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It appears to have a couple of serial ATA connectors, but the BIOS will likely limit the utility of the drive. http://carltonbale.com/how-to-break-the-2tb-2-terabyte-file-system-limit/ Time for a new pc.
