• The emachine specs would indicate any manufactures 3.5 inch internal SATA drive should work ok. It is an older machine and you may have issues with drives over 1TB in size.

• There's usually two types of hard drive. Desktop or Laptop. Sata is the only connection being sold on the market today. If you have an old computer, you may have to special order an IDE connection, but that's outdated. You can pretty much choose any size with the newer computers.
