Has anyone partitioned the external hard drive? I want 2 partitions but am unsure because I have heard that Windows 10 will only recognize the first partition. I would like to partition and skip Dashboard all together. null

Why partition when you can simply set up separate folders?

Yes, you can. I've even partitioned the built in hard drive inside my laptop, and with Win10, will still recognize both partitions. The only catch is that if the entire hard drive fails, you lose both partitions. Hope this helps.

You don't need to partition to skip dashboard. I haven't partitioned, and I don't use dashboard.
