- Answer The drive size is between 3/8 of an inch and 1/2 and closer to 1/2". Size is 12.1mm according to the box it came in.

- Answer I would imagine not. There are components inside that could crack or not work right, especially if you tried to use it while it was still that cold. Maybe if you have to, just be very easy not to move it while that cold until it warms back up?!

- Answer USB 3 offers faster transfer speeds than does USB 2. This drive will do either one as its title says. It should surely serve your needs. I am not familiar with time machine so I cannot address that portion of your question.

- Answer Yes. I would not try and play them off of here though. Any triple A title would be severely bottlenecked by an external HD. I would pick up an internal SSHD and install it for appropriate read/write speeds for gaming. Minimally, any internal HD will work better though.

- Answer It depends on the average size of your photos and videos but in general, photos taken using a DSLR or a high-end smartphone are around 10 megabytes which will give you space to store around 200,000 photos on this storage device, similarly, you can store about 6000 HD videos of about 3-5 min length.

- Answer I never tried myself, but they do sell it that is supposedly can do this. However, I have read quite a few reviews people have tried to do this and they were unsuccessful. I wouldn't count on it
