“I have mine plugged into pc and told pc to backup to this drive but I don't see anything happening?”

That's what happened with me too, E-mailed Seagate & their answer makes clear they don't actually read their e-mails & merely send an automatic stock answer aimed at those who can't get it to connect to their PC rather thancan connect but doesn't backup. Very disappointed with Seagate so far.
