Please go to Seagate's website and download the Seagate Central Discovery Tool for Windows and run that program. It will locate your drive and get it working again for you. It worked for me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In my experience it may help to move the drive to another computer and it should be recognized and reset the drive to run state. Even if you choose to remove or unmount the USB drives they sometimes mark the filesystems as crashed. I have this issue sometimes with an NTFS formatted drive that is used on Linux or Mac and it needs to reconnected to another windows machine to make the NTFS filesystem clean. You will not lose data.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine did not work that long. After one backup (it took four days) I could not access any of the backup files and their tech support could not tell me how, they just said clear all and do another backup. I took that as my que to take the lousy thing back to Best Buy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I suggest you return it to BB for warranty repair or replacement. This happened to me once and I think it was due to a power outage here. I had to disconnect it from the AC and reconnect it again. It started working and I was able to find it with both my PC and Mac.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Turn the unit over and there is a reset button. Give it a little time and it should come back up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Did you turn off the unit then power it back on after reboot? If not, make sure you do that. FYI - I DID find the Seagate customer support to be responsive. Try emailing Seagate Support
with your question. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
