Yes it would work , just need a different cable for it is all

It can be used for a gaming console, however you would be missing out of using the micro SD card. Your console will read the hard drive and micro SD as two different storage units. You will also need to format your hard drive when plugging into your console

I think you’d be better off buying the Xbox brand external hard drive this one doesn’t look like it would work with xbox or splaystaion
