- Answer Comes formatted for windows PC, but using Apple disk utility, you can easily formatted for macOS - for data use extended journaled for a boot drive use APFS format, scheme should be GUID for either.

- Answer I don’t know for certain. It doesn’t come with USB-C connector. It might if you get an adapter for the connection cable or get a connector cable with USB-C. Sorry I can’t be more helpful. The device is working well for me on my PC.

- Answer This will work for time machine. Connect it to your mac and tell Time Machine to use it as a backup drive. The system will then handle reformatting it to the correct settings for you. I just went through this myself. Don't think about using this as anything BUT time machine if you configure it that way. MacOS does not allow you to use a Time Machine drive for anything other than time machine. There may be some that tell you that you can partition it and use a portion for other things my MacOS is happiest when it can control the whole drive for Time Machine backups
