You can use this with a Windows 10/11 laptop but keep in mind that it needs it's own power supply it doesn't use USB as the power source.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.laptop should be fine with USB v2.0 and up. A laptop is just a squished desktop. ChromeBook might not work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it can be used with a laptop.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will connect to a Desktop or Laptop PC USB port. It requires External power connection, but otherwise is "movable". Due to its physical size, it would best be used when the laptop and the disk are on a solid surface (such as a desk).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it should be fine for storing pictures I have about 3 1/2 TB's of music on one of mine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I haven't opened the box yet but the model number on the box is STKP8000400. It can be used with a laptop but it's not truly portable because you have to plug the included power supply into an electrical outlet. Some drives that are labeled "Portable" are geared more toward a laptop and are powered by the usb port. The specs on Bestbuy's website says it's usb powered but it doesn't look like that's the case. If you go to Seagate's website and type in the model number you can find the product data sheet and user guide and it says you have to plug the power supply in. The dimensions on Bestbuy's website are also incorrect. Seagate's website shows the dimensions as 7.037" x 4.921" x 1.65". If you want to use the drive with your laptap in an area where you don't have access to an electrical outlet I would look for a portable style drive. This drive would work with a laptop but you need an electrical outlet to plug it into. https://www.seagate.com/www-content/datasheets/pdfs/expansion-desktop-3-5-DS2063-2102-WW-en_US.pdf https://www.seagate.com/manuals/expansion-desktop/
