Does the unit come with a cord to hook up to the PS4? null

Yes the unit is powered by USB so it comes with a USB cable to plug into whatever device you are using it with.

It does come with it's own cord, but if you have BT headset and 1 or multiple controllers its best to buy something that gives you more usb ports or a cahrging dock

Yes. The The external hard drive comes with a (1ft?) micro usb connection cable to plug into a PS4 or even a PS5. I have been using mine a lot this past week since receiving my PS5. Worth every penny.
