“Will this drive play Xbox Series X Enhanced games or only Store them like many other external drives?”

This is for storage only. You have to transfer your games to the internal drive to play.

It plays them from the drive it was designed as an internal hard drive for the system. So it runs games and apps from it. I have seen no speed differences. I play all the assasins creeds. And Ghost Recons wildland from the drive.

Sadly no. You need an $250 2T Xbox Series Expansion pack to install and play it. However you can play Xbox 360, Xbox One X/S on it and play!

It will store them but cant play they have to be on the eternal
