• It has cloud access available, so access is possible to it, now going through your own VPN I don't see a problem if you already have a VPN access to other files.

• You should be able to connect to this drive remotely if it is connected to a computer you can connect to remotely.

• I don't think so. I believe you can only access it within wireless range of the device.

• Yes. Download the mobile app to your cell phone and you can access your cloud account any time/place you have connectivity. The connection over your phone to the Seagate cloud is encrypted.
