There may be an app to use that will make it work similarly but this is basically an external hard drive that can be hooked up to your network as a standalone device. You can map it as another hard drive on your computer and drop files there.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not familiar with Dropbox but I use mine for pictures, it will also do auto back up of pictures. If you have a computer connected to it and the computer goes to sleep then you will have problems connecting with the apps on the mobile devices so you can not leave your computer running all the time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In principle, it does, Dropbox is a NAS, in the cloud, and cloud storage services like drop box just work, are redundantly backed up, don't depend on the quality of your router, and remote access is not limited by your ISP upload speed, router config. Also Dropbox does not require configuration. But, if you are able to configure NAS, and you have a modern router, and you have another backup in remote location with great internet connection, then they are close to parity on storage function.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It works like dropbox because that is the action you want to take..... drop the box. Don't buy it.
