There are some videos on YouTube that do side by side comparisons of the brakes on this model versus other brands, and the brakes on the Segway seem like they take quite a while to come to a full stop. I believe you’ll have to use both the hand brake and foot brake at the same time. My scooter came broken so I was only able to check out the foot brake, and that on its own won’t be enough.
