• Digital is a download that installs and runs on your Wii U, while the regular version is a disc that you have to have in the Wii U disc drive in order to play.

• The games are exactly the same however the digital version is downloaded from Nintendo's online store while the physical copy comes with a disc which is used to play directly on the Wii U.
