These are open-back headphones so there is no noise cancelling available. I can wear these headphones and hear everything fine around me still. Might want to recommend closed back noise cancelling.instead of these.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They do not cancel room noise nor do they claim to - they hardly muffle room noise and for a quiet program you will still hear the room noise, or in your case cabin noise.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They don't block anything and there's no volume control and with my laptop I could not hear the movie on the airplane. If you are in a library with the volume up all the way it sounds great but other than that it's very weak.

They can easily be heard around you at louder volumes but if you don't care about that they are definitely capable of drowning out airplane noise. I'd recommend a pair of noise isolating earbuds in that price range such as the Bose in-ear ones. I think they were about 120 when I bought mine a year ago and they do a good job without jumping into full blown noise cancellation.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. These are not the headphones for you. It sounds like you are looking for noise cancellation headphones, which these are the opposite. These headphones are Open-Ear headphone, meaning not only will they not block any noise, the people around you may be able to easily listen in on what you're hearing, assuming it's not drowned out by the airplane noise. It does have really good audio quality though, that's the selling point of them. Another is that they prevent hot-ears because air is circulating to the ear and out, but i digress. Best of luck!
