I'm not sure about the muddy sound but regarding the aux only playing in one ear. It's because you didn't plug it all the way in on the headset. I believe you have to twist and push for it to go all the way in. Check out your manual for instructions. It happened to me too.

The Aux cord is probably either not going in all the way, or your port isn't functioning correctly. 

As for wirelessly, you can fix that problem by:
1. Open control panel
2. Select printers and devices
3 Right click your headphones
4. Click the services tab
5. Uncheck telephony

This will make your headphones sounds much clearer, but you will not be able to use the microphone unless you check that box again.

Regarding the aux cable, maybe you didn't turn it clockwise to secure it in place.
