“What is the other side of the USB-C charging dongle? Is it USB-A or also USB-C? If it's USB-A is it compatible with a wall adapter? Is there a Sennheiser-provided warranty? If so, what is covered? I don't want to pay an extra $50 for a protection plan.”

Its USB A, and it is compatible with a wall adapter. I think all the warranty covers is anything besides any type of physical damage(water damage, a smashed earbud, etc.)

Galaxy S9+ i also have a standard regarding protection plans. if i pay more than $150 for an item - I buy the protection plan. You would be well served to buy it for these even though you will likely never need it. . Thus far, the Sennheiser web page has answered all my questions - but the best-buy reps are very nice and very knowledgeable of their product.
