Plugs right into output on the back of the TV. Works great over distances. I used to have to turn sound up too high and it disturbed other family members. Problem solved.

I connect to them to TV, and I can watch without disturbing others that may be in the same room, or sleeping. My TV has two sound outs, one that shuts off the TV speakers, and one that leaves the speakers useable so others can watch the same programing while I have the volume higher on headphones. Attached is a manual photo showing the connections for a TCL 55" CLASS P6-SERIES 4K UHD DOLBY VISION HDR ROKU SMART TV. Suggest you take a photo of the connections on the TV in question with your phone and visit your local Best Buy. I am certain they can show you how they connect or sell you the proper Digital connector...
