“These are running 24/7/365, so how long do the machines last? One, five, ten, twenty+ years? From the reviews and others sites these look to be very good, I don't want to have to replace it every few years. Thanks”

I have had (2) of the Sharp 6 fan air purifiers for 2 years. Never had a problem. I use them for cooking odor removal which takes about 3 hours of run time per meal to take out all of the odors. We average about 8 hours of run time per day. Shark original filters are far superior for odor removal that the after market filters.

Usually it runs pretty quietly but when coking it kicks in to full speed and is a little noisier but totally acceptable to still hear the television while running on high speed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The filter lasts you about 4500 hours until replacement is needed. The unit itself i dont know. But theres no need to run it around the clock. Once the air gets to the high 90s its totally sensible to turn it off.
