Q: QuestionOnline description/specifications says this unit weighs 14.8 lbs. (out of the box weight). Is this the weight of just the stick vacuum or both vacuum and stand? I am looking for the actual weight of the vacuum as this seems very heavy to me.

• A:Answer The handle part including a battery (without a wand) weighs 2.8lbs. That is the most weight you feel on your hand when you vacuuming. It feels much lighter comparing other cordless stick vacuums. Also the grip has a cushion pad so feels very comfortable. Plus the base locks and there are wheels so easy to roll it instead of carrying around.

Q: QuestionCan i charge it without using the base? Can i empty without using the base? Need more space so just want to use the vaccum by itself

• A:Answer The battery is removable, but this Shark can only be charged on the Auto-Empty Dock. The dust cup will automatically empty once docked. You can also manually empty the dust cup.

Q: QuestionThere’s a compartment inside of the handheld that is gathering debris but it is not removable so I can’t empty it. I e searched and it says nothing about this little rectangular compartment. I bought it from Best Buy in August this year so what do I do?

Q: QuestionCould you tell me when the batteries will be available for this machine iw3511. It is a nice vacuum cleaner but they are not honest about the runtime. I am being led to believe for the last few months that they will be available soon all to no avail.

• A:Answer Once the vacuum is placed in the charging place, everything is cleared. Dog hair is completely removed from carpet, my carpet is not the tall fluffy one is the comon one that came with the house. Only one time we had to remove leftover, the rest of the time the mechanism does it on its own. Very content with this vacuum
