Q: QuestionCan I wash the foam filters and the dust bin on my Shark?

• A:Answer Hello, We would like you to know that the filters for the Shark Navigator® NV26 Bagless Upright Vacuum are washable. To wash them, rinse the filters under running tap water until the water runs clear. Squeeze filters and let air-dry for 24 hours before replacing. Do not wash in dishwasher or washing machine. To clean the dust bin, we recommend using a dry cloth to wipe it out. Do not use any liquids in the dust cup. We hope this information helps. The Customer Support Team

• A:Answer Hello Lisa, We are happy to confirm that the Shark Navigator® NV26 Bagless Upright Vacuum does have a belt in the floor nozzle to make the brushroll spin. With this being said, the belt is not replaceable. Shark Navigator®’s intelligent electronic system will shut off the power nozzle motor to avoid belt wear if the brushroll is blocked by a large object, such as a sock or carpet edge. Simply turn off the power, remove the obstruction, and return to vacuuming. There are no belt maintenance or replacement costs to worry about. We hope this information helps. Q: QuestionI have had the Shark since it first came out. I need to change the lower connector hose. I have found the part but how do you remove it from the vacuum itself to install the new one?

To empty the dust cup, press the dust cup release button (looks like grey ball on top of main body), lift the dust cup off of the vacuum, take over to the garbage and press the latch on the bottom front of the dust cup to empty.
