• The good news: you can turn off the brush head to prevent scratches on hard surfaces. The bad news: I'm not sure how effective it willl be on dusty surfaces. For those, you would be better off with a steamer.

• Yes and is very good for hard floors or vacuum if you vacuum every week you feel you floor I just recommend
