From what I've observed, the "Matrix" seems to be a little different pattern. The normal pattern is to work the perimeter first and then criss cross the main areas. The Matrix seems biased towards the criss cross, and possibly with more overlap between passes. That's just my observation. Their literature bragging about it might be more instructive. As far as mapping, it shares the main house map. Different pattern, same map.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Sally, The Shark Matrix robot vacuum uses 360° LiDAR vision to scan and map your home with high precision. This allows it to create a detailed layout of your space, which it uses to navigate efficiently and clean thoroughly using a grid-like pattern called Matrix Clean Navigation. You can view and customize this map in the SharkClean app, where features like room selection, no-go zones, and carpet zones are available. For more detailed guidance, including setup and troubleshooting, you can refer to the official user manual or support resources available on our Shark website.
