“Can the sound be turned off? Late at night or early morning It is often preferable to not have the microwave beeping away. The ability to adjust the volume of or turn off the sound is a much desired feature. If that feature is not part of this unit please suggest models, comparable in size, power and price which do have the feature.”

• Thank you for your interest in the R309YK microwave. This model does not have an option that will allow you to turn off the beeping. Currently none of the Sharp microwaves offer this feature.
