QuestionI am not clear whether I need to use the vent kit for the Sharp SMD2470ASY drawer microwave. I intend to mount the unit "proud" (slight overhang), not flush with cabinet face. Is vent kit necessary for this? Will I get proper venting without vent kit?

- Answer Hello Steve, a flush mount kit is required when you are flush mounting the unit. If you are doing a regular installation, this is not required.

- Answer Hello, no there is not a trim kit for our drawer microwaves. The only accessory for the SMD2470ASY is the flush mount deflector vent kit and this is an optional accessory.
